Assembly candidates for Strangford have shown their support for a £12 million housing scheme in Comber. The local candidates visited the 60-home Dunlop development at The Mill Village in Comber. They were also welcomed by David Little, Regional Director of the National House Building Council (NHBC) - which will provide warranties for the new homes. Speaking after the visit, Dunlop Homes Managing Directer added : " As well as addressing housing need, the development also has massive economic benefits. With a workforce including self employed contractors drawn from Ards and North Down area, and a total sale price of around £12m, the scheme represents a significant investment in Strangford".
The development comprises two, three and four bedroom townhouses, detached and semi-detached houses together with a number of apartments.
The first phase of the development has already had homes handed over.
